Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• The ability to provide detailed material and labor cost estimates.
• Proficient in reading and understanding RFP documents, contract specifications, technology, architectural and electrical drawings.
• The ability to review any local, state, and federal codes and interpret these codes as related to the project.
• Communicates with department (Sales/Operations) personnel to understand and define the project scope for integration.
• Meet with client to determine needs and formulate design. Complete site evaluation to determine client requirements and design specifications- Prepare engineering analysis of project to include initial system design through various phases of engineering review to final system design, calculations, and integration documentation.
• Interpret and prepare blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical construction specifications.
• Manage engineering project schedule, propose changes to project, material selection and overall project costs.
• Create drawings for Security systems including line diagrams, facility floor plans, elevations, sections, panel details, rack elevations, and all other drawings required for successful project completion and coordination.
• Create the final bill of materials for the final system design

Basic Qualifications:
Knowledge of modern LSS system design

• Design and provide cost estimates for Fire Alarm systems.
• Develop bill of materials, battery calculations, and sequence of operations. · Coordinate engineering deliverable schedule with project manager Prepare design documents, specifications, and drawings required for design/build projects.
• Survey existing LSS systems and provide detailed upgrade or replacement information.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to make technical presentations. This includes interfacing effectively with customers, peers, and executive level management.
• Excellent organization and planning skills, able to set priorities to accomplish tasks.
• Ability to execute results against deadlines.
• Ability to solve technical problems, make recommendations and provide solutions.
• Knowledge of general construction and the construction process
• Knowledge of IP network design and architecture.
• 2D drafting in AutoCAD for architectural coordination and system interconnection.
• High level abilities in MS Office Suite, specifically, MS Excel, MS Word

Preferred Qualifications:
Perform cost estimating of CCTV, Access Control & Intrusion Detection Systems.

• Manage the design process, create material list and project scope documents.
• Survey existing security systems and provide detailed upgrade or replacement information.
• Create submittal packages of designed systems.
• Create drawings, including floor plans, details, and elevations using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate engineering deliverable schedules with project stakeholders
• Prepare design documents, specifications and drawings required for design/build projects.
• Demonstrated ability in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
• The ability to provide detailed material and labor cost estimates.
